I am a GM for a corporate location and I know in the past there have been several instances where "coupon" websites post coupons, and gift certificates that are not at all affiliated with qdoba. Unfortunately we have to turn the certificates/coupons away. As a corporate location we also have instances where guest will bring in franchise coupons that are only good at those stores, which also causes guest confusion. Many of the websites that offer these coupons/gift cards state that they are legit, but are not. I didn't look at the link you provided, but in the future I would always call the location to make sure the deal is valid, and the terms of it before purchasing.
As a manager, I am sorry you experienced so many issues with our company and I hope that you will continue to dine at our establishments.

I went to Qdoba on Glendale Ave. in Phoenix and ordered a vegetarian burrito to go. The rice was very hard; I never ate rice this uncooked and starchy in my life. The burrito was also cold.
Perhaps it would be a good idea to try the rice first before seving it. Hard and uncooked rice is unnaceptable. I like qdoba, don't get me wrong. But I will certainly not go back to this location.

I had the exact same problem with Qdoba on Green St. They blamed Frugal website for writing the terms and conditions wrong!!

At least I could make them suffer a little bit as they treated me badly. In 3-4 cases, when they refused to process my certificate partially, (the manager was that big lady), I just left the restaurant without paying and let them keep the food.
Finally, I ended up using my four $25 certificates in a awasteful manner, having to buy four entrees and taking 3 of them home.
Anyway I did not have your stamina to follow the case with the corporate, but I can guarantee that after that incident last year, I have never been in Qdoba again and I will never go to any Qdoba again in Champaign or anywehere else.

This is a stingy restaurant with very inconsistent portion sizes. or may be it was because they knew me!!

Here's the "funny" thing. When we go in there now, we are a little bit afraid to use our 3 free burrito certificates. They prominently say on them "We're sorry you had problems, and hopefully this will help".

We figure that if the help sees us use them, that they'll probably label us as "the ones that caused them so much trouble".

But, the gift card has been working wonderfully. It's a bit of a shame that you have to go to so much work to get the right thing done.

Now consider this: how many hours did you spend blogging about your tragic delayed burrito purchase? They robbed you! I would sue for emotional trauma.

They better do you right! There are plenty of other Mexican restaurants in Campustown to frequent: Desmadre, Margarita's, Chipotle, La Bamba, etc.

I just can't believe that the manager came out and told you that you were wrong. The other workers were probably completely taken aback. And then the manager said she'd get in trouble. If I were her manager, she'd get into more trouble for upsetting a customer [and wasting a burrito!]. Good luck!

Is it odd that I actually bookmarked the USPS tracking URL so I could follow this issue in a more direct fashion? (:

Heck yes! Go Kirby! You're nicer than I would be, but that means you'll probably get further than I would. :) I'm so glad you found the other certificate. I can't wait to see how it ends up. And good going sending a letter to corporate. These people have to get their crap together!

Well, that's quite an odyssey. I guess I'm a member of the loyalty club, since I have a card that gets me every tenth entree free. Once they couldn't get the cash register working, so they wouldn't give me credit for the meal, but I chalked that up to an isolated case. Other than that, my only complaint is that they're too cheap to put bottles of hot sauce on every table.

I hope it all works out.
