I too have a Skamper. From the photos, it looks like the brackets for the three leg-stands are missing so you can rotate them horizontally while traveling. I’ll send picks of mine if you’d like.

I also just bought a very similar camper. It’s an ’83 Skamper 080s. Photos can be found here:

I don’t have the shower connector, and the power inverter is located in a different place, but otherwise almost identical.

My vinyl is peeling near the front. Did gluing yours work? What did you use for glue?

wow i just bought a pop-up truck camper at an auction for $550.00 and it looks exactly as yours.i think i got a good deal.dont know the year but it is a viking.

I have a 04 tacoma crew cab trd, I am looking at a camper the same size as this one, It will hang off the tailgate 7 inches, Anyone think this will be an issue, I have a 6 cyc?? Input would be great.

I have a camper almost identical to yours. Mine is a 1989 Starcraft. Same colors same interior but in the back where you have a window mine don’t. So just inside on the right is a wardrobe cabinet. Have had it 6 years and have loved it.I have a 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 with the hemi and I don’t even know its back there.I want to paint it on the outside and I read in the blog that someone was painting theirs. Can you give some advice on what kind of paint to use and sprayer. Thanks and Enjoy….

Hi I just bought a 1988 Skamper slide in popup just like yours. I do not have a manual.If anyone has one, can you please email me.I will pay you for it. A Skamper manual would be great. Just bought a truck camper that looks like yours. This one is a Viking–do not know the year. Have already repainted the roof and plan to paint the outside–the camper is old, clean, and I am looking forward to some great trips.
